African American Framed Art
From the rich, deep colors aroused by life in Africa, to the inspiring black and white photographic portraits of African American leaders, you’ll see how our collections of African American art prints can fill your home with passionate beauty.
During our glorious and sometimes scarred American history, African-American artists have had ample subjects for inspiration and reasons to create. Their passion and power comes from generations of struggle, failure and success in the United States plus a certain haunting connection with an African heritage from long ago. With our collections of framed black art, we seek here to honor those artists, plus give you exciting ideas to inspire and beautify your home.
Besides our African-American Art work, you can browse... The Africa collection: art either created by African artists, or inspired by Africa; The Black Heritage collection: art honoring African-American leaders from many walks of life; and The Musicians collection: lively paintings of musicians doing what they do best. You can almost hear the blues (and jazz and hip hop and...)!

Jean Baptiste Pointe Du Sable
This illustration, commissioned by the USPS, is of the first non-native settler of Chicago who came from Haiti. It commemorates not only the beginning of this great American city, but the beginning of the African American in Chicago.
